Can't see why it would. It's already been taken in account and discarded both by the american tech blogs, analysts (who read them) and elop/nokia themselves. The raving reviews of the N900 did nothing, the niche is still far to small to show up on the Nokia bottom line, especially considering it's a niche where you can see the end.

Unless that phone is all-existing-phones-killer, I pretty much dubt it will change anything.

Given the overall strategy, and assuming that the phone is really something extraordinary compared to anything we have seen so far, I would suggest that WF7/8 will be the primary OS, with possible Meego/Harmattan alternative.

That would more likely influence the stocks. The release of Harmattan itself, would simply announce the technology, without providing the large deployment, so sooner or later the others will present their own magic and the advantage would be lost. The loss of advantage would reflect on stocks again.

Again, if they do have the technology advantage, they better apply it as soon as possible.

Aye, Nokia is a very special case indeed.

Sometimes a stock drops so low it becames an attractive "what the hell" buy. Maybe Nokia is in that area. I bought $200 worth of Ford stock at $2 a share and made more than $1000. If I had lost the whole $200 it would have been cheaper than almost any Vegas weekend I can imagine.

Another drop... $5.79 today. I'm thinking 'don't sell yet'. Traders don't seem to be expecting a Steve Jobs performance at the Nokia Connection, eh?

The current stock value reflects the future prospect of Nokia, so It'd drop below present company value.

So you need certain amount of confidence in WP7 strategies before you buy a Nokia stock.

However, even Nokia isn't planning to buy back its stock at this historic low level, I think your confidence level must exceed the entire company before making the call decision.
