thanks for letting me know, i re-named .sfc to .smc and it works! 
chrono trigger for snes makes a weird loud noise when playing, and star ocean for ps1 makes a buzzing noise lol.
is this normal?

Well Nokia do at least know how to build a decent phone, just apparently don't know how to support it..

I hope your studies and exams are going great! The delay in the new version is a blessing in disguise because EmuMaster currently isn't such a time sink!

.sfc as far as i know is the SNES file extention. i downloaded a couple ROMs from emuparadise to make sure and they are all .sfc and none are detected with emumaster
