There are some configs available for Canon and Olympus cams, too.

Jeah. I can confirm that it works with my D70 after install and reboot. Have to read D70 manual to find correct settings/mode. I Tested about 7m away and it worked.

Works a treat mate. I was able to use it all the way across the room at the widest point in my house.

Things to note for testers or users.

>IR is VERY line of sight dependent on my D70 being to the left of the camera my big lens would block the IR port so it would not work.

>If I put my finger infront of the N900 port on accident it also did not work.

> The camera must be put into a remote mode, for the D70 its under the 2nd key on the top left next to the BKT (bracket key) hold it down and turn your selector wheel till you see a remote on the lcd display.

Add another gadget to the N900 swiss army device!

another confirmation ... works fine with a D90 ... great work man ..

i had a thought .. any chance of extending this to do timed interval shots? may not be very helpful as the phone has to be next to the cam, but would still be very cool ...

btw. I noticed that my D70 doesnt wait too long for remote signal after i have set it to remote mode. It also has remote+delay onboard but it would be offcourse nice to have delay on phone also.

Gui could have large button and slider for first shutter send timedelay, number of repetations and delay between repetations. Also button to cancel whole operation would be nice.

Now it needs solutions to leave sandbox status. (and votes...)

One idea per solution proposal please (if they aren't directly connected)

Interesting I installed irreco today and when I went to make a remote it had the Nikon DSLR listed on there in some manner as a already programed/used remote. Looks like thats the key on how you did this

Irreco not working for me though, some kind of backend error, QTIrreco is working but none of my TVs are on the list and no luck finding a compatible one.
