I had no Battery-graph installed, only battary-eye. I maually removed the beaatery-eye-daemon file in /etc/init.d, what else i can do with backupmenu aor recovery shell ?

How can I read a log, like dmesg, where the problem is, that make a reboot ?

Hey people,

I got problems to update my n900.

I am very new and english is not my mothertough.

Today I did a flash. Everything went well. The next is to install the cssu testing. I am not sure if the cssu testing is installed proberly. HAM shows me an update, but I can't install that update.

My current version is 20.2010.36-2

uname -r shows 2.6.28-ompl

Futher more.

I tried to install with
sudo gainroot
apt-get update
apt-get install mp-fremantle-community-pr

But n900 shows me something suspisious
W: GPG error: htt:// ..... KEYEXPIRED

Make sure you have backup before installing, just in case.
Does this work?

I will be able to try this this evening (can't do it before just in case it leaves me phoneless at work).

@hardo, the expired key is Nokia's problem. The keys on their repositories have indeed expired and they are not bothered enough with what they consider an ancient phone to get it renewed. Just ignore it.

Not being able to install a big update with HAM is also quite common. The command line usually works.

Both issues have been discussed many times.

Ok, installing the latest version of CSSU fixed the problem.

Thanks.

I updated CSSU today and I found myself in reboot loops. There is no SDcard in my n900, removing battery and sim card did not help. Also pressing the power button during poweron until nokia symbol appears did not help.

I think I have battery eye installed.

Does that force me to reflash?

Thanks,
Rainer
