I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure Nokia could be sued for false advertisement. They advertised their devices to by supported (well, it can be argued what 'support' is) till 2016 and many people bought their product based on this advertisement.

It very much sounds like a real case that should not stay in the form of 'people crying on forums'.

I just tweet the same opinion. For those who can by a Jolla (yes a don't have a credit card yes, in my country the theme whit the dollars and euros are fu.. Up) or just because you just want to keep using the N9 this thing that Nokia and the Trojan Elop do is really sad. I love to support developers but i by my apps to my operator. We have a great community and openrepos is a nice and cool idea.
Sorry for my English! And lets sued Nokia!

Yes probably true, but there are great devs that still support MeeGo! I can live whit bugs and i have the apps that i want.
Twitter, whatsapp (you have 3 clients for this, and they are much more better than the official), Soundwave, Nineshark, Nelisquare, etc. For me MeeGo in not totaly dead yet.

Well nemo is meego reinveted. So my point is move forward don't look backward why waste time on petitions about "keep ovi or whatever" because we will only waste unnecessarily time on stuff that will not change.

When you port over the >1,000 apps of Harmattan to Nemo then regurgitate the above everywhere otherwise just accept that Nemo is nothing more than an enthusiast's OS...

Maybe, but does that promise bond Microsoft? Nokia can't be expected to support Nokia Store as it is left out without Device division or is responsible to any of their old mobile devices. Microsoft naturally has no interest to throw any resources at Nokia Store and I would imaging that's their right.

I doubt that suing either party would result in anything else than the part suing losing money on legal expenses.

Well I guess you think thats the case with sailfishos too? because sailfish is heavily based on nemo

Seriously, to clarify my point:

Instead of stay in harmattan:

Developer really should consider port too nemo IF they beleive in sailfishos because that means less incopability. Both using Qt5 and QtQuick2. Harmattan does not.

However if you as a developer don't beleive in sailfish well then stay with harmattan but that also means N9 will die faster IMHO.

But for those setting up an external repo. I dont mind if people make binarys of my apps if ayone use them.. (uradio/nfckeyring) I personally has moved forward soo
