Just a thought : it's the first tablet with locale-specific hardware. Just making and managing those country-specific keyboards for us pesky Europeans is probably reason enough to go for the US-qwerty mass market first :-)

Yeah, but I'm lead to believe that the US & UK keyboards are the same :-)

Quite, but then that wouldn't be fair AT ALL for your fellow Europeans, now, would it ? :-)

why don't nokia simply sell the tablets with a some missing keycaps and a kit of caps then you can make your tablet into whatever nationality you wish?

Oh, quite. I guess there must have been another reason back before 2001 when all other countries had their own local currency, but memory fails me ATM :-)

Because either they'll start falling down and you blame them or you could buy them and not a new tablet
