Doesn't have to be right to be quite interesting :-)

Apologies if came across I was suggesting a) I definitely believed this, b) it was fact, c) I cared that much ;-)
Come to think of it, I was only trying to battle rude sarcasm with wit.

Some people consider it rude to be told to use the search function of the forum. Some people are quick to point the finger at anyone telling others to please use the search function. Well, if being told to use the search function is "rude", then I think there's nothing in this world that isn't rude
The rude thing is the way you can say that...is better to say just "please, use the search function" instead of
Wow, you have just discovered a wireless router. Congratulations, that is kinda like that guy who discovered America after Columbus
thatīs not necessary IMHO.

Personally, I don't consider it to be rude to "not search", nor rude to "suggest a search".

On "not searching" -- what's rude is not doing anything to help your own quest for the information. Reading the recent topics in the relevant parts of the forums, paying attention to the forums over time, thinking about what you've seen -- those indicate that you've put some effort in to it before you asked ... and that's what makes it not rude. Doing a search is just one element of that effort, and it's not a mandatory element. (sometimes I search, sometimes I go by memory and/or observation)

On "suggesting a search" -- it's a relevant answer to a question. You can word it in a rude way, you can word it in a matter-of-fact-way, or you can word it in a polite way. As long as its not the one of the three that is the rude one, I don't have a problem with it.

i've seen them arround ebay, but i havent seen them lately,
what you could do is do it the ghetto way.

get a battery compartment that is able to store x amout of batteries according to the voltage(and amperage...sometimes) that the router uses to operate, then use the good old duct tape to attach the two.

(if you actually do this, i recomend Duracell rechargeables)

Spare us your philosophizing and just do the friggin search like you KNOW you should so that you don't waste everyone else's time by asking a question that already has an answer.
