I thought the 3d rendering issue wasn't just drivers, but also the lack of a DSP that can handle 800 x 480 res? (I think it was a memory limitation) <--- Someone correct me if I'm wrong....

Maybe. If you have the time for it to boot up. I ported the PPC emulator called PearPC to Maemo using Scratchbox. After about 20 minutes of waiting for it to boot, I gave up.

What OS are you booting in PearPC? OS 9 or earlier could work. OS X can't since it uses quartz which really heavy on the non present 3d rendering.

have you released this emulator port? with ppc and os 8.5 i think we could run starcraft/diablo and warcraft lol XD

Starcraft would be excellent!
Especially as it only needs 640x480.

There's no reason that Darwin (The Mach-ish microkernel with the BSD compatibility layer) couldn't be ported. I never looked to see whether Apple open sourced that port of it, but they certainly have with PPC and x86

As for the Aqua interface, they have never open-sourced that part of OS X and probably never will.
