Yes you are right.

To make it clear :
Streamtuner 0.99.99-11 (your version) is in chinook extra repository and could be installed on diablo if you install also libssl0.9.7 but this version has a broken shoutcast plugin.
Streamtuner 0.99.99-12 is in diablo extra repository and has a fixed shoucast plugin.

So all N800 & N810 users should use the last Streamtuner version.

Sorry for N770 users (blame Nokia not me)

Could it be possible to backport for chinook?

Yes it should not be a problem but who still use chinook ?
Are you a N770 owner with 2008HE ?

My last personal experience is that 2008HE is not usable for multimedia application on N770. Is mplayer working now ?

If the backport to chinook worth it, I will do it of course.
I was sure that not but I will be happy to be wrong.

Best hope for N770 users is Debian or Android, Maemo become too big for the hardware

I am happily using chinook on my n810 and don't feel the urge for starting over. My tablet is optimized for my needs, and, frankly, I am sure it would take forever to remind all the hacks I applied and transfer them to a reflashed instance. Plus, I installed diablo to my other tablet (n800 - I am plainly unable to resell these toys :-) and can't see any compelling reason for the transition.
I'm sure there are other guys out there who did like me.

So, I would be much grateful if you could backport streamtuner - of course if it isn't too much fussy for you (i.e. installing again the chinook toolchain or the so).

Hum not that easy to backport to chinook after having done the upgrade to diablo.
Fortunately i work with VM and I should have an old snapshot with chinook.
Just need a bit more time.

If you don't wand to wait next week the upload to chinook extra repository here is a sample hack to make streamtuner 0.99.99-11 actually in chinook work again with shoutcast.

As root, edit the file /etc/hosts
and add the line :
205.188.234.120 www.shoutcast.com

Nota : this hack is only for chinook user.
For Diablo user the one click install is fine :

Enjoy and stay tuned.

streamtuner 0.99.99-12 has been backported to chinook and has been uploaded to chinook extra repository.

One click install. No hack needed anymore.
