The original .PAK files are located on the internal memorycard - in addition I installed the extended textures and models package - available for several Windows-ports of the game.

Game looks much better now on the tablet ;-)

I will try to post screenshots later.
Try to post links to extended textures/models.

Can you aim with the stylus in this? I saw the Duke 3D port had that, I wish the Doom port had that. With that in mind does the Quake port also support stylus aiming?

Are you talking about these?

I didn't know you could use those on vanilla quake2... Please! More details!

Nope, not these - they are .pk2 - only suitable for Quake 2 Evolved and so.

I've found some other .pak files for use with Quake 2. Sadly only 2 of the 3 files will work. The high resolution textures won't So only better objects and weapons will show up - see attached sreenshots.

If anyone will try, I've uploaded them to Rapidshare as a .zip archive. They are 14 MB (objects) and 38 MB (weapons) big. Just copy them into the "baseq2" folder.

Another question: Does anyone know, if using the soundtrack as .mp3 files is possible? I've found some sites explaining copying them as 1.mp3 up to 10.mp3 to a folder named "cdaudio" next to the "baseq2" folder - but that was a Nokia Symbian compile of Quake 2.

I've already tried that, but it doesn't work - I even don't know, if the processors power will be enough to play the game @ 400x240 AND play the music as .mp3 files ;-)

Mentioned this in the Quake thread but, how about if you could double-tap the screen to jump? Jumping on the N800 is a bit clumsy.
