Is there a way to make the mcalendar home page applet show 12 hour format as opposed to 24 hour. I am able to change it in mcalender, but when my appointments show up on the applet they are in 24 hour format. Thanks for the great program.

Hum, at this time it use the format in the local. So the format used by maemo in general.

But it ll be better to use the prefs of mCalendar

Thx for the suggestion, i ll do it soon.

Thanks again Khertan for working on this wonderful app. I've been following this thread, hoping it'll get to the point where I can rely on it. Looks close!

I had v 2.1-1 installed and the sync was not working quite right. I saw you had version 2.6 available, but when I tried to update it through the app manager, it failed. The error message I got was "Conflict with...pysqlite"

I uninstalled MCalendar and tried again, but with the same result. I am hesitant to uninstall pysqlite because I am not sure what depends on it.

So, my immediate question is: Could/should I uninstall pysqlite? I'd love to get this working but not at the expense of other programs I use regularly.

The larger question: how to find out which applications depend on which others...is there a command which lists dependencies?

I have mCalendar running and synchronizing with my Google calendar (again, after upgrading to Diablo). Last night, I downloaded HomeCalendar and HomeDiskUsage to put (back) on my tablet 'desktop' (and I'm eagerly awaiting HomeIP!), but I cannot get either one to work. If I turn either of the applets "on" in the 'Select applets' menu, they don't actually stay checked on, nor do they ever attempt to display on-screen. (this is a fresh install of these two applets from the Diablo Extras repository). I did not restore (or attempt to restore) any data or applications from my previous (Chinook) OS installation.

The mCalendar application, itself, is working fine (as far as I can tell)

Greyghost > it s seems you have an application that conflict with the install of pysqlite ...

briand > could you try in xterm this commands :

python

and then python interpreter is launched :

import hildon
import hildondesktop

To find out what other packages depends on a given package, use:
Code:
apt-cache rdepends given-package
To find out what packages your given package depends on (and their dependencies again, recursively), use:
Code:
apt-cache depends given-package
(Note that the latter will also print out 'Suggests', 'Replaces' and 'Conflicts' lines)

Khertan --

'import hildon' worked without issue.

'import hildondesktop' failed with the message that no such library exists.

...and the applets still won't "turn on". :/ where do I get this hildondesktop python library?

One of the dependencies didn't get rebuilt for diablo and the maintainer is no longer around. Here is a link to the .deb files that make it work ( for me ), but I'm assuming Khertan will fix this "soon"

http://repository.maemo.org/extras-d...hildondesktop/

Once I installed those two deb's I could then run homeip without a problem.
