anything that improves the video performance of the n800 & n810 has got to be worth investigating! will this also help the 770 too?

I don't know if it will work, it might use libraries not available or more fundamentally not support it at all.
I haven't got a 770 here and don't think anyone has attempted it before.

The most recent source is in the liqbase garage svn.
I thought I would get a new package for the 8x0 out tonight (but gonna have to wait till tomorrow now, im way too tired).
