I have a w810i as well, and at first it kept transferring the sound to the tablet, which ended up in nothing happening. I had the rfcomm set to something like 6 or 7. I then found that setting the rfcomm to 2 or 3 also connected, and now I can answer from phone and everything works fine. One downside is I haven't been able to connect to a headset at the same time.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Now it is working like a clarm. rdcomm 2 works for me, and I turn off the power saving option on my w810i, now I can connect to both N800 and bluetooth headset at the same time. When the phone rings, the n800 will show, then I hit answer and I can talk on my blue tooth headset. What a wonderful software!

That was what happened to me, I used rfcomm 5, and I think the sound got transfer to the IT, but too bad the IT cannot be used as a headset, otherwise it would be even better.

Thats good to hear that you can connect both the tablet and a headset to the phone at the same time. I also have a w810i, but I can't seem to get it to work like that. I have power saving off, rfcomm is set to 2.
If I have the headset connected to the phone, when phonelink loads I get an error in phonelink.
If I have the tablet and the phone connected with phonelink running, the phone won't connect to the headset.

Here are my gnokii gconf settings
phone BT Mac: specific to the phone, I know this is correct
phone Model: AT
rfcomm: 2
Use .GnokiiRc file: unchecked

I have the same setting. So I guess your phone may not have the same software version. Mine is cxc1250317 r4ea031, check the sony ericsson web page to see whether you have the newest version. When you turn off the power saving, you should see the message said "More than one Bluetooth device at a time can be connected to the phone".

Ok, so I checked my phones software version, its CXC 1250316 r4ea031, so hopefully thats what is causing the problem. I'll try updating the phone software and see what happens.

Just updated the phone software from Sony Ericssons site, I can now connect both devices to the phone at the same time. Haven't tested out everything yet, its a little late to try calling people etc. But glad that it finally can work.
