I kind of feel the same as said here, that the tablet software is "kind" of stopped, but We are at least trying to do our part. There's a couple of nice plans, but we are only 6 and a half people working on canola (now) it was way less before. So it's not fair to charge more than we can do, and we do that for free. We are going to deploy the full source, but being honest.. I don't believe the tablet devs will pick up and help it. Anyhow We are following a "dream" of having a "Canola2" non beta release where the basic features are rock solid and from there we are just going to make sure things are clear and clean for the users.

I noticed the updated to C2B9 when it hit the repositories and I must say that I am very impressed with the current level of responsiveness. The transition effects from the main screen icons (movie, music, etc.) are fantastic and there's an overall snappiness that wasn't in previous versions and it's very welcome. This is some of the best software I've used on the tablet, very polished and enjoyable. My only real issue at the moment (I haven't put this through it's paces to track all issues) is the start-up and shut-down speeds of the app. Is this due to library scanning upon start-up?
Keep up the great work guys! There are those that really appreciate the effort!

Hi Guy,
I am one of those who had to go back to beta 9 to get youtube going again. I have one question though: I downloaded a whole bunch of clips before and they were in the mydownload folder but the beta 9 youtube plug in won't see it. It only picked up the one I downloaded after the down grade even tho' they are in the same folder. Any idea how to make it visible to the beta9 version?
Thanks
Howie

I can't install the Beta9 update... it says "preparing to install" and then "operation failed" ...
What should I do to make it work?
The system is fresh, a couple of weeks ago I did the complete reinstall of the system...
Thanks.
I keep running into issues with cover art for my mp3s -
Had beta8 installed before the update, and I only have the stock Diablo catalogs enabled (Nokia, Nokia 3rd party, System Software, and maemo Extras).
I've uninstalled everything and have run canola-cleanup, rebooted, updated the software catalogs, etc... a few times, and still don't have luck with cover art for mp3s.
Any help debugging/troubleshooting the canola-tuning-plugin and cover art fetching and/or other setup would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: I've watched the Beta9/10 updates for a while with interest, and I never had Beta 10 installed (just upgraded from Beta8). If this post would make more sense in the Beta9 bug reports, please feel free to move it, but I just wanted to be clear that I've been watching the Beta9 update(s) with interest, crossing my fingers that cover art would work again with another update.
Thanks.
