Neat idea, but judging by how dangerous bikes are already, *any* distraction is IMO a bad idea from the standpoint of safety. Take your mind (even if you're looking forward) off the road long enough, and bad things can happen. I've seen too many people run red lights, barely avoiding collisions while on a cellphone staring at the road.

Honestly, I would be interested in something that I could wear on my arm like that. Not that I would use it while riding the motorcycle that I don't have but I wouldn't mind using it while I'm bicycling. I use my n800 and a bluetooth gps to navigate the back roads of Japan and I wouldn't mind having it mounted on my arm.

when i ride my bike i carry my mp3 playing (set at low volume) n810 in its cover in a small nylon pouch around my neck. when i need to use the gps while biking i put my left hand through the fold up stand; i can still operate the left brake like that.
