Ok, I'm probably setting up the port forwarding wrong. A port checker says the required ports are not open despite my settings below (source first, destination second):

Gizmo - UDP Any -> 5004-5005
UDP Any -> 64064
UDP Any -> 7070
UDP Any -> 10000
UDP Any -> 8000-8012
UDP Any -> 3478-3497
TCP Any -> 3478-3497

SIP - UDP Any -> 5060
I checked 5004, 64064 and 5060 (the main ones) and none are open! WTF??? Do I have it backwards?

Yes the app called "Internet call" (for some reason it is called A/V Chat on wimax N810). You should see a dial pad in it just above the phone icon. Select the dial pad then you should see a larger pad with a drop down menu..yes?

There are 2 drop down menus, but neither lists Gizmo as an option... obviously because I'm using the Gizmo client and did not install Gizmo contacts separately. In fact I don't see "Gizmo" as an account type selection in device settings, although SIP and Sipphone.com are there...

If your Gizmo was working last year and if you have not change any firewall or router settings I canīt see how they would come into play now .

It's my firewall. I tried the online Gizmo caller at https://www.gizmocall.com/gc/app?cla...l&proc=gcStart and it worked fine.

Now if I could only find usable instructions for fixing my router firewall...

Just for grins what are the settings in your sip account and did you try to call using it and internet call?

Unfortunately my SIP account was deleted from the device a while back and I don't recall how to set it back up. Default setup results in "unknown error" when I try to use it. I will search on the subject and see what I can find.

4 hours of fun with this so far today... cripes.

EDIT: authentication does not work using SIP or sipphone account. Either requires 2 different logins...??? I don't remember what I did before there...

EDIT 2: nevermind-- advanced login isn't required.

I'm connected now OK but still have a problem: I can't hear call recipients but they can hear me.

Are you calling via GV or internet call app?
