For me plugins stopped working. cant use youtube plugin or tuning plugin. haven't tried others.

They just don't appear within canola. I also did a cleanup and reinstalled, same thing.

this is with RC4

anyone else experiencing this behaviour?
the latest update RC5 has completely cured my problem, thanks for fixing this - I'm finally back on a more responsive and (at least for me) functional version of canola

So, it's working like beta11 now? What isn't working for you?

indeed, it feels even snappier and smoother when navigating through the menu and browsing my music folders.
with RC5 I haven't seen an issue yet; music, videos (optimized for n810) and internet radio are flawlessly working so far.
I usually don't use canola's picture viewer due to being really slow (large time gaps when switching from one pic to another in fullscreen mode)...this 'problem' still exists but honestly I don't care...

still need to perform some field-testing regarding battery duration, can't tell yet; but from my first impressions the new RC's really feeI like an improvement.

The 2.0.0 release is finally out and so is a new version of the tuning plugin - but the tuning controls still do not show up

What am I missing ? I find it very hard to believe that new versions are being released without realizing that they are not working - so there must be something that I am doing wrong - Can anyone help ??

Update
----------

The tuning plugin works if the flickr plugin is installed as well.

The other plugins do show up. However the last.fm plugin still has the invalid URL issue, and the picasa plugin crashes canola often. The flickr and youtube plugins seem to be okay so far

This has been bugging me for a while because it shows the update alert even though it knows it can't install. I'm still a beginner when it comes to Maemo/linux, what method are you guys using to update to the latest release? Canola cleanup then app manager or apt get?

yes, use canola cleanup. there's another thread on this that you should search for with many more details.
