Wrong. A citation names it source. You don't even say *where* you found that, much less who that is from.

So I'm just assuming you made that up.

just got this from my secret contact

"Hi I'm a Nokia Product Manager, Upon hearing the latest rumors and seeing fakes circulating on the web I thought I'd make a statement, We have plan's for no other Linux device within the next week but are working on the N1000 which will be controlled by blink gestures and making loud fart noises with integrated laser weapons to be used by troops on the front line of course this is in the early stages of development and is subject to change so you might have to make do with another maemo5 device after the n900 and then a maemo6 device coming late 2010 with a capacitive screen. Please don't try and trace who I am b/c I'm a dangerous murderer in my spare time"

i cant link my source sorry guys but you must understand i don't want to be killed

I've send a message to Nokia about this, let's see what they think about this...

Let's think logical here. If my grammar skills are poor, how come the text is nearly perfect from a grammatical standpoint?

I'll edit the opening post further to clarify some thoughts and reveal some more facts where this came from.

The difference is that your text lacks coherence, while I clearly stated why Nokia Europe made this statement.

This statement is a responce from Nokia Europe about the existance of the rumored Nokia N920 device.

Indeed it will be interesting to see how they will respond... Nokia is a huge company, and this statement was probably made unofficially (it might be proved completely wrong). I think this statement was only made to deny the N920, and by doing so they needed to tell some of the direction of their future plans, without revealing anything in detail.

In this case, feel free to believe me.
I will be happy to take all your money through paypal, if you don't mind
Of course that was a joke, I thought that was obvious. Forgive me if it wasn't clear enough.

I just wanted to avoid revealing the source without ignoring any post in this thread.

I don't know if it's real or not, don't really care, but my feelings tell me that whatever will the next Nxx Maemo device look like, it won't have a hw keyboard...on that i would bet

I thought the images of the supposed N920 had already been debunked. Well, if you guys didn't know, the writer at Nokiaport.de made the image in Photoshop just as an idea, and the world ran with it as a possible leak without checking with the source that was clearly watermarked on the image. Here's the entire story about that image to end all of the conjecture:
http://www.nokiaport.de/forum/thread.php?threadid=5379

Also, "plans to ship another device" aren't the same as other devices in development or existence. There DEFINITELY IS another device, currently going by the name N920, and its a variant of the N900, minus the keypad. I know of one person that is very honest and reliable that claims to have actually seen and used the N920, so I'm pretty confident in his claim.

Sorry for my lack of clarification, obviously I failed big time in that department. I've somewhat updated the opening post, and my latest replies does explain the rest.

This responce was about denying the N920 (or any other Maemo device in the near future), rather than announcing another Maemo device.
