Talking about the program to join the discussion ..Since approximately 24 hours is silence in repository .. nothing happens .. AppWatch not updated list of repository.. Please look at you and so you also.

I once have a link to the list of applications in browser at the maemo.org. there was everything nicely described.
what has been added, as updated, as removed, descriptions of programs, etc.
I can not find it now .. please tell me how you remember where it was

thanks

The maemo.org server move + PR1.1 relese combo threw a wrench in there. The problem is known and will be soon resolved (well, as soon as maemo.org is fully functional again).

It doesn't work that way - the packages file (used by the app manager) contains no temporal information. AppWatch also needs maemo.org for the ratings, screenshots, dates, etc (i.e. if it fails to retrieve details for a package it will not be visible, we don't want broken entries in the database). All in all, just a little patience and all will be back to normal when maemo.org/downloads and maemo.org/packages resurfaces.

We should be back on track, appwatch show apps with today's date...

On a side note, it seems PR 1.1 fixed the lockup problem caused by the phantom dialogue... Buttons are also a bit prettier. Menu names got prepended with "fremantle" (but work otherwise).

Why all the new items appearing in http://maemo.org/packages/repository...ree_armel/all/
are not included in AppWatch ..
if this were not enough
Most new applications are already evident in the application manager, but unfortunately they do not take into account AppWatch
why this is happening?
Is it the union of the server move?

Yes, the whole repo-move thing caused a few problems, but they will sort themselves out automatically in a few days.

The 'latest packages' list on the link above includes ALL packages, not just those for end users (i.e. libraries, daemons, etc). AppWatch only shows end-user software, stuff that you can install (=that appears in the Application Manager).

tell me please, that the applications for end users that appear earlier in the Application manager than he is in appwatch only a temporary error?
In me is that the manager application (devel and testing), there are new applications that are not in AppWatch?
And if they are devel and testing folder, that is to say that they should be visible through appwatch ..
I hope that fixes this problem quickly

Yeah, it is a little bit confusing to get an orange "!" in the status area but no new updates in AppWatch. It would be nice if Nokia could fix that soon. Will you release an update soon with Ovi repository included?

Yes, it's a temporary error The bottom line is that AppWatch integrates application data from several sources (maemo.org, the repositories, the build system, etc). To avoid data corruption an app is entered into the AppWatch database only if *all* data about it has been retrieved correctly, and that has been no problem when all the server-side components were functioning. With the server move, there are still bits and pieces which are not back 100% on-line, or are just propagating (like DNS).

Yes, the next version is supposed to include Ovi updates, fingerscrolling and better duplicate filtering (sometimes you can see updates as separate entries because they were uploaded in rapid succession)
