Guys, why don't you post your issues in Bugzilla https://bugs.maemo.org/
Or if you have suggestions, in Brainstorm http://maemo.org/community/brainstorm/
It would be a shame that your input isn't valued properly since actual developers won't have the patience to read a whole thread or might not even find it considering the large number of new threads appearing daily.
You could then place the links to brainstorms in your signature and every time you're engaged in a conversation, the people you talk to will read and vote for them!
Please consider it.

is nobody using his/her N900 in his car?
my number 1 or at least top 3 is voice dialing
now when driving i need to pickup the phone search for a contact and dial it thats even illegal todo over here..

I'm new to the N900 so not sure if this is already available but it would be nice to have a widget that shows a status for missed calls, unread emails, texts etc.
I have the individual icons on the desktop (calls, email, contacts, conversations) but it would be nice to have them show like a number 1 over the text icon when i receive a new text. At present the only thing i see is the top-left icon changes.

I'd love either the option for a 5th desktop, or the ability to add smaller friend icons to the desktop. The current ones are massive!

1. SSH GUI: keymanager and tunnelmanagement is badly needed!
2. GnuGPG GUI: Keymanagement and desktop integration + email and IM plugins!
3. Thunderbird for Maemo5 and M6
4. Firefox for maemo5 and M6
5. Bluetooth mouse for Maemo ;-)
6. Bigger battery for extended operation time (+2000mAh)
7. GUI for anything done from console nowdays!
8. More desktops - now only vertical desktop scroll - need for lateral also!
