Update to goosync.com case - I have contacted their support who have enabled detailed logging on my goosync account. Apparently the trouble is that tasks which are being synced from device to service do not have priority field set and their policy is to reject such tasks from sync.

Also, turns out there is no way of specifying task's priority information in calendar's UI, so basically I am stuck on this. :(

UPDATE:
Or perhaps is there a way of telling SyncEvolution to add such field to task while sync occurs?

UPDATE^2:
Filed bug report: https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8777 -- your votes would be more than appreciated. :]

I'm new to syncevolution ...

Is there a way to sync contact pictures and skype account names with scheduleworld?

My sync setup:

n900 <-> scheduleworld <-> KDEPIM

Man, thank you so much for your howto! It made my day (better: my night). I had to install the patched egw-server for it to work, so everybody who wants to try this should check if he uses 1.6.003 or a patched >=1.6.002 with these syncml-patches:http://k.noc.de/index.php?option=com...&id=6&Itemid=8

now all my machines can use my egw-server. including my lovely new mobile phone

Just synced N900 with ScheduleWorld using SyncEvolution Frontend from Extras* repository. It works but reading logs to get information how many were synced is hard.

Now need to go though whole contacts database and merge ~100 od duplicates ;(

I always sync contacts in 'refresh-from-client' mode to avoid duplicates. But for all the other sync sources two-way-sync mode runs very fine.

refresh from client is what i used on my N800/N810.

Now there's this irritating rumor that deleting contacts from the N900 will also delete them from your roster if they contain chat/IM-details.

how's your experience with this?

is 'refresh-from-client' safe to use even if the contacts contain IM info? or do you keep your IM details separate from the contacts you sync?

I've also spotted and installed SyncEvolution front-end in extras-devel repository yesterday. I was nicely surprised by maturity of this app. Two concerns though:

1) Logs, as pointed above - not really readable, so I'd suggest to create "simple" and "advanced" logs, where "simple" would be short summary of sync, and "advanced" would be these logs as they are currently.
2) Automatic sync - add more configurable sync frequency, opposed to "daily" only.

if you are using "refresh-from-client" mode this would be the expected behaviour. This mode means:
1. Delete all contacts from server
2. Put all contacts available on client (N900) to the server

I never noticed a deletion of a local (N900) contact.

What is the source for the "rumor"?

is 'refresh-from-client' safe to use even if the contacts contain IM info? or do you keep your IM details separate from the contacts you sync?
I merged all kind of IM/SIP data into my contacts (Jabber, Googletalk, Skype, Facebook, SIP). I don't use separate contacts for IM.

In my sync world the N900 is the Master for contacts. All the other clients (Evolution in Ubuntu and Thunderbird in Windows) are only get a copy of each contact on my N900.

Ciao jukey

is there a possibility to define a sync intervall in the config files? If yes, could you please tell me where?

I use the command execution desktop widget as described in this article (translated by google translate) to synchronize every 6 hours and put the results onto the desktop.

Ciao jukey
