I voted no, and I think this is an unimportant issue.

I hate virtual keyboards. So I don't need portrait for sms. In phone it's must and we already have it.

one app not mentioned, is file manager both the app and the file browser in other apps., i find when browsing for files esp in contacts (i.e add picture) and especially with the Duplicate folder bug, navigating the file UI in landscape, give me about 4 folders. Portrait would help a lot

not that i have a problem with the phone having it wud be much better... it wud rather be an option... i love my phone the way it is... i just hate it when ppl try to talk for everyone... like some guy in some thread said the ppl who want portrait are miniority.... cheers.

but come on... seriously... video in portrait?? ) i liked the idea of file manager and sms in portrait but web, and video is just easier in landscape imo. anyway why put web in portrait and then no verticle vkeyboard? is there anyone who wud use the web without a keyboard??

Mohammad, as much as i normally agree with the firmline as this has been done a million billion times so to speak.

If the initial request was worded better i'd be intruiged by the poll and results.

Just asking for portrait mode, as this request has shows that allthough it's not quite 50/50 - the community is split...
This may also be the divide betwen people who mainly use this device as a phone, or as a computer? (Phon'putery people are split yet again!)

But it can powssibly show that the audience for thise device isn't as expected by nokia, and actually (Of the people who have voted, so not so scientific - more do want it.)

A better use of peoples time could be to carefully list out what they really do want and work with the developers as a start. nokia will most likely not cave in, so do what you can to assist the people who can help

I thought that the original poll said WOULD THERE BE portrait in the new firmware? If so, it's been reworded since I voted. Can someone confirm or disconfirm what I'm saying? The current version asks if I "want" portrat.

The portrait mode in browser is firmly paralyzed by lack of buttons and text input. I kinda vote yes.

The poll has been reworded, and the meaning of the poll has changed because of that.

If the original question was "do you want [any feature] in the next firmware?", there'd be fewer "no" votes.
