What i do not get is that if you use tabulator as i advised then it should automatically fill the word to command prompt.

Bit like this:

Oops sorry didn't check the picture too closely, but anyways type dir and then enter in command line and get another screenshot. Or try what slender is suggesting, when typing RX and then pressing TAB on keyboard, it should automatically complete the filename

heh. As you can see the filename extension is ".bin.bin" because you renamed it from explorer and you do not have "show file extension" on. What I asked you to do is use fricking tabulator that AUTOMATICALLY FILLS THE FILENAME. Sorry :|

.edit
So just try to flash but use this filename:
OS.bin.bin

..edit
And if that doesn't work then you can try to renam it in command prompt with following command:
rename OS.bin.bin OS.bin
And try now the flash program with that filename

Did you rename the firmware file to OS.bin.bin? I haven't used windows for a long time so i don't remember how it behaves when filename has 2 dots in it.

If you are certain that OS.bin.bin is the same file as RX... then the command should be:
flasher-3.5.exe -F OS.bin.bin -f -R

EDIT: Oops slender beat me

renamed it again so it just shows as OS.bin, phone is flat now lol as i left it switched on last nite so will have to wait till its charged now... ive got the hang of the tabulator now thanks and read the wiki about it,this is all new to me im afraid but you guys are being EXTREMELY helpful
the last one i tried yesterday i put in the file name os.bin but now as we can see from the dir its called os.bin.bin so im fairly confident it will now work when i enter the correct file name!
thanks
will report back later....

Might be worth flashing the eMMC as well then (see the instructions - you'll need to reflash the firmware first, without the -R switch, then do the eMMC).

Make sure you back up anything in MyDocs first though.
