I think angry users post here because people actually listen, whereas Nokia just stonewalls.I think that sites like this can have a megaphone effect -- enough people yell together and it wakes up the giant -- sometimes.

It's actually not possible to say what improvements and developments are happening for the N900. Cause in my opinion it's a complete product.
Most probably what the author had in mind, is the developments in OS (mameo).

For me the most important things since September is:
1) I got the device
2) Installed Xournal, Conboy, Leafpad, Fm Radio, fMMS, kmplayer(+mplayer), WifiEye, Wizard Mounter, tickstill, omweather,GNumeric, (+more).

And now it does everything that I want.

The least important thing is the 30+ downloaded things from OVI.

---
I see this product for what it is, and not for what it's not.

what are you implying? the n900 syncs very well with Outlook and has one of the best media players out there. everyone can acsept MMS is coming it's just not finished. I agree there is probably not a phone out there that supports Skype video chat - so complaining about this is easy to identify as noise.

It is the little things like search, task descriptions and customizable calendar reminders (eg setting a reminder to go off 15hrs before an event rounds up to 24hrs on the n900 - a reminder is 11hrs off who can rely on a reminder that is 11hrs out?)

I don't agree with you when you imply the n900 is not targeting main stream consumers. check out this website by Nokia http://maemo.nokia.com/ its selling a consumer device not a development platform.

Hope they don't change it too much, this device is close to perfection - if you're a geek like me, or you knpw a geek like me to set it up for you

Problem is phone users with no linux experience who aren't wilingl to admit that to get the most out of the n900, you need to participate.
