The N8 looks tempting, but I'll have to wait and see how the browser performs. The N900's browser is just killer.

Also it would be nice if the N8 had a PRO version with the same specs and a qwerty keyboard!

there will be a lot of changes between S^3 and S^4 then future updates will build upon S^4

Its symbian and that's all i need to know as a proven platform unlike the N900 so having them both has got to be a good combination.
Right now the 900 stinks and will do for some time to come untill Nokia get the development finalized, so for me i will have them both.

No use looking for a comparison to the N900 because at the moment nothing will touch it but having a second device to play with has got to be a great way of allowing your mind to rest and wait lol. (physiologically speaking).

That is pure speculation ha and looking at Nokia's track record your time specs could probably be doubled maybe?.
Anyhow i am not a must have the latest gadget guy but having something that does the job for now has got to be a bonus so for me the N8 is great.... for now.

theres no speculation in what i'm saying its fact they have only released road map upto S^4 so far but it dont end there.
secondly nokia does not own symbian, symbian foundation is governed by many companies
there's many companies contributing code and maintaining packages.
yes Nokia are biggest contributor but they only get one vote on, same as other members so they can't do what they want, even the S^4 mock up screen shots proposal from Nokia was voted on.
if Symbian gets delayed it wont be Nokia making the decision alone to do it.

Yes maybe your right but i am looking at the situation now as opposed to next week or months and trying to find a solution for the lagging n900 situation as i don't want to part with it so will carry on with a device that gives better functionality for now.
But you know the n900 will never better the camera on the n8 no matter what they do software wise unless they offer a mod for the camera itself, shame really because i feel the n900 will somehow get left behind totally very soon.

i will definately replace my n900 if N8 have a physical slideout keyboard. Unfortunately the N8 does not.

so i will keep my N900 until Nokia have a new device with as good as N900 or N8, and with slideout keyboard
