My faith is also based on logic and reason, tbh, this forum is being filled with trolls, they want the N900 to be able to restart a dead planet, i mean Nokia have to maintain loads of devices, they don't work for your arse to send you a custom update for your special needs, so for all the trolls nesting here, get over it.

Actually logic and reasoning are to remain objective as they are, while gaining faith in something by definition shows you have an extremely subjective and biased view

One can only observe, analyze, compare and predict based on said observation/analyzation/comparison

Doing that (objectively) with Nokia's approach with the N900, shows that failure is just over the horizon

Since it will take too much time to complete this, we can look back at other such projects such as the N770, N800 and N810.

Find such a user and question: Where is your hope and faith now?

what you said literally meant nothing to me, my hope and faith is still there, nothing changed, if you are here in this community to start giving speeches about the N900 being a failure and that it doesn't satisfy your needs, then please, do spare me that speech, there is enough trolls here already.

That is the definitive proof that you are blinded by faith and are what some would call a "fanboy".

Just remember, admiration is the furthest thing from comprehension.

That said, I bid you a good night.

You shouldn't have John Locke as your avatar

The n900 DEMANDS a SACRIFICE.

Sometimes. Works both ways. Sometimes admiration is the result of comprehension.

Sometimes a thing is despised as a result of comprehension. Sometimes a thing is despised as a result of a lack of comprehension.

Your posts on this forum make It clear to me which way it is with you. You simply don't 'get it' - 'it' being the concept of MeeGo/Maemo, the 'point' of it. What you don't understand, you don't like. Well, I'm not gonna waste time and effort trying to make you 'see the light'. I've already spent far too much of my time on this forum trying to offset all the FUD. I'm done with that.

What's not clear is why you spend so much time here dishing out heaping helpings of negativity. If you don't like Nokia, fine. If you don't like MeeGo/Maemo, fine. But isn't being a constant downer kinda hard on the psyche? Why not go to a happier place for you, where you can make a positive contribution?

Just tryin' to help you find your happy place...

No, no, no, NOOOOOOO, not like the Pre was. Keep creepy weird girl and her gang of dancing monks away from my phone!

Hmm... interessting. Maybe faith would be the wrong term. Good stuff.

However, my basic point is that I cant find another phone with resistive screen, keyboard, flash, giant storage and that good of a browser.

If its a giant piece of garbage or not was not the issue. We can read all about it in bug threads and such.

The issue was to discuss if the deal breakers stated in OP actually was a fact or just rumors and how bad it would be to actually miss out on them.

But since this thread is now official troll grounds, and creating threads for actual discussion is near impossible, I will now leave this thread. In fact, unless I have an actual problem, I'll ignore this entire forum in the future. It's sad really

Have a nice lunch

It is sad. But if we leave, the trolls win.
