Olighak: That is a hopeful message. But what I don't understand is the part where they said they would contact you personally. I didn't know companies could still do that...I though all corporations were only allowed to post things to obscure usernames on twitter and announce things at massive press conferences. Personal service? Unheard of.

By their own statement (days not weeks) this gives them 13 days or less to release the software. Sounds like the holdup is with Ovi. I imagine DataViz has signed an exclusivity deal with the Ovi Store, otherwise they would have been able to release via their own website (as they did with the viewer).

I remember how long Angry Birds took to be available as a paid application on the Ovi Store. Not holding my breath.....

Hi! I found this post:

"Hey guys!

I have installed the premium version. How? It's simple.

I've changed my user agent to maemo, then I visited the ovi-store, downloaded the package. It was an *.install.
I hoped that, because when you download the prem, you get the viewer version. As already mentioned it's a bug and I've fixed it.

The original file in the ovi-store looks like this:
Code:

[install]
catalogues = nokia-ovi-store
package = dtg

[nokia-ovi-store]
id = ovi
file=variant-catalogues

As we know, dtg is the viewer.
So I moved to /opt/var/lib/apt/lists and took a look into the file. Searched for "documents" and found on line 4043:
Code:

Package: docstogo
Priority: optional
Section: user/hidden

Architecture: armel
Version: 2.000.315

Description: Word and Excel Editors by DataViz

This product provides rich, native viewing and editing of Microsoft® Word and Excel®, files and attachments. Powered by DataViz®, the industry leader in mobile Office compatibility.

So I edited the .install to:
Code:

[install]
catalogues = nokia-ovi-store
package = docstogo

[nokia-ovi-store]
id = ovi
file=variant-catalogues

Then opend it and voilà: Documents to Go Premium installed."

I have uploaded the file as attachment.

Enjoy!

Yep, can confirm it downloads and installs fine.

How do we go about registering it? Will i need to buy the trial license online?

Yes but I think that you will not be able to do this until Ovi and DataViz will manage their errors... Let's hope that they will do it in 30 days until the trial will end.

Remember to push "thanks"
