After more thorough reviews.. it appears that the N900 doesnt have MMS? Whats up with that?

And call history, missed calls, etc. are non-existent also!!!??

this is kinda of a deal breaker to me. i know its a mobile laptop first, phone second. but these are basic and crucial features of even my primitive phones in the past. this is very sad....

I hope I'm not the only one waiting for a logically working web browser. Reason I paid a hefty sum for my device was to get real mobile internet in my pocket, after 6months I'm still waiting.

Sure, after the last firmware update the n900 browser became a bit less awful, but still it is nothing compared to the Opera i had on my N70 (and N70 is otherwise horrible). Have downloaded the Firefox, sadly it's even worse than the n900 browser.

Comment on other posts I too find the screen bit too unresponsive, would love to be able to handwrite my notes.

I like the N900, and the recent update has improved the phone.

Lots of things I miss in the N900, including:
- a good word editor
- video editing capability
- speech too text (voice recognition)
- better phone app. Yeah, yeah, the N900 is a "pocket computer". But it's also my cell phone, and I'd like it to have the same functionality as other good cell phones
- better battery life

The only thing I miss is a thinner profile and a less choppy slideshow in photos.

And perhaps portrait support.

I missed a proper Sticky Notes widget.
Then, I came up with this:

The ability to use the map without connecting to the Internet mentioned yet? I found that one to be bothersome.

1) Battery Life
I need to charge the phone two times a day. And, i know that i can disable all the widget, the 3G connection ad so on, but i buy this phone for this kind of use and gadget!

2) Voice dialing
Using the phone when i'm driving is a little more dangerous than before with my E71.

3) OVI Maps
I mean the version with turn by turn navigation and no need of connection, that is totally useless when you need it abroad in roaming context.
