If you were to favour the HTC Desire HD on account of its 4.3” screen, then consider going the extra .7” and have a look at the Dell Streak.

From what I can see, Android is Android and very shortly all high end phones will have 2.2 Froyo, just some a week or two sooner than others.

Manufacturers like to add value to Android with their own enhancements but I don’t see that as a differentiator as the hacker community makes them (or similar) available anyway.

If screen size doesn’t matter then I would have no opinion.

Keep the N900 and get yourself another phone. So this way you have both in your hands

Better than regret later on

NITdroid, though it has gone a long way, isn't really a fully functioning nor supported Android platform. It's like trying to argue that ReactOS is a good replacement for Windows.

I would tend to WHOLLY agree with this statement. N900 is an exceedingly, incredibly awful cell phone. It makes a pretty good computer, though. Ditch it as your phone, get something solid to use as your phone like something Android based and then safely tweak around with your N900. You'll also find that your battery on the cell phone will last longer, if you're playing with the N900 more.

I voted "Keep the N900"... from what you've listed above, all are sexy kit; however the N900 you already own, it works great and it's definitely a great device.

And besides... give you enough time to wait to see what Samsung does with their Galaxy S series as well as what HTC does with their phones.

I voted 'keep the n900' as I got a Desire a few weeks back to give the 2.2 android a go and have decided to switch back to the n900. I have plenty of reasons for switching back but the switch from maemo to android has left me with the feeling I've taken a step forward and more than two back.

I would add another option to the poll:
'Wait for Meego/Android 3.0'

I don't know if this has been posted, but here's a quick comparison of Epic4G (Galaxy S variant) and EVO (Desire HD variant) taking photos:

stick with the n900 if i were you. since you can afford high-end devices, wait for a bit as processors seems to go 1.2 - 1.5 ghz now. meego and windows 7 are coming out before the year ends so why not give it a chance and research more...
