arf, doesn't work here, I tried with phone application saved in portrait mode or automatic, also with instinctiv and others
for the moment, just a black square begins to appear and stops immediately all in one seconde, nothing else

Running apt-get upgrade would reinstall the original debs. Example:
Code:
apt-get upgrade
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages will be upgraded:
  hildon-desktop hildon-status-menu
2 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
To avoid that, do the following:
Code:
echo "Package: hildon-desktop
Pin: release a=unstable
Pin-Priority: 1001

Package: hildon-status-menu
Pin: release a=unstable
Pin-Priority: 1001" >> /etc/apt/preferences
Ciao!

Nice! Looks good. Nifty for the flash light button.

Very much agreed with the flashlight thing. It's already possible, combined with the cl-launcher, to launch flashlight from portrait. But now it also makes shutting it off from portrait that much easier. In fact, just... This makes the phone yet another significant step to realistically being capable of universally supporting portrait mode. All we need is a good universal portrait keyboard (the one w00t ported and eternal was working on for a bit were promising, but didn't get anywhere), and someone really enterprising to undertake the task of creating a significantly modified hildon desktop with portrait mode at the home screen level and task switcher level, and we'd be set. Frak, even without the home screen and task switcher being portraitable, if just about everything else is, in practice, it becomes essentially equally usable.
