Mmmmm... how many of those apps would you pay for and install on your laptop, if they were available?

Rather have the 'actual' internet, fanx...

Got my n900 out yesterday actually and blew the minds of a couple of iPhone users (wipeout 3 running in psx4m), i told them they should jailbreak theirs, only then does it start to even come close to n900, and another old friend who seemed interested wheni pulled it out to write in his email address. He works with IT and servers etc so i figured pop open an xterm windows and he was well shocked that such a phone existed...

if the iPhone fans were a bit less 'all praising' and more critical of its shortcomings, they might see a little more progress with the next iteration of device..

Quick reply...
I have never seen an iPhone (seriously, I don't remember seeing one anywhere except Internet photographs).

For those who complain about resistive screen and enjoy capacitive screen: what about trackpad?
Trackpad works well for large icons in menu grid, and also short lists, though it would never work for thin lines drawing or anything precise and complex (like QtOctave with its buttons and windows and menus; by the way, there is no iPhone version of Octave, is there? though there is pay-for-it iMathlab).

GV != SIP (but GV can be configured to use SIP)
Skype != SIP

I guessed. Didn't I? Read it if you have eyes.

Bad idea. iPhone 4 and 3Gs(with new bootrom) are stuck on tethered boot if jailbroken, which means they have to plug it in to their computers and jailbreak it again whever the battery dies or they have to reboot, or else they won't be able to boot at all.. They won't be happy with that.

No.

Everything needed to have working phone calls with audio is open source. Problem is this is written for 'real Linux' APIs, not the Android subset of Linux. Makes it a hard challenge to get it working in Android.

It would even be easier in Ubuntu on N900.

How do I do it?

well, go to jailbreakme.com and slide "jailbreak" and you're dont jailbreaking.

and When I reboot my iPhone, it's still on there.

also, I said "I guess it's some kind of voip," and it works like charm. If it's voip thing.

please try to understand as you read.
