nice to see you implemented a srt support as well. You were right about Mplayer playing those files directly. I forgot that... i have a lot on my mind

I will dedicate an article about your app on my blog.

As for the sound "issue" i mentioned before: i think it was the divx file that had soft sound, because after i encoded a K1 mov file, the sound was very loud.

I will check that YouTube support as well, 'cause i didnt like UKTube.

Cheers

I would be interested to know what kinds of things you didn't like in it. Could you elaborate a bit?

Thanks :-)
For subtitles size in mplayer you can edit the mplayer.conf in the dir: /etc/mplayer
i have set the parameter: subfont-set-scale to 4.

I think that the softwares have differents targets (for YouTube videos), UKTube is great when you want to see a FLV movie on mplayer and you have a good wi-fi connection (i use UKTube at home and in my Office, but in italy is very difficult to find a hot-spot :-)).
I Use Video Converter to Mass-Download video Files and to see them offline.

At first it didnt work. The program just crashed. Someone else put his memorycard in the N800 and then it worked. Well, i did the same and indeed it worked.

But just to go through the whole way of first downloading it and then see it, makes me bored and it will certainly bore others when i want to show them a movie. I use Orb for watching the movies. I do appreciate the efforts you took to save video's on N800 though. So it has use, but like Pablo stated, if i want to watch movies offline, i'd like to download 'm first and manually put 'm on my sd card. Also when i went back from fullscreen to 'normal' screen, the movie started to miss frames.

Back to your app Pablo. The first movie i started to download from YouTube gave me the message: Filesize Unknown. Ok, well, it started to download anyway and when transcoding was done i couldn't find any file! After that i tried again and now it knew the filesize, downloaded and transcoded it. As we speak i'm uploading the FLV file to my sd card, so 10 sec. plz

-----------

Well it plays smooth, with some framedrops now and then, but it's the N800's flawless video capacities i guess. Sound was clear.

This is the link that didn't work btw: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eKifSDgU48

Hope u can find out what causes it. Good progress so far!

Thanks for your help and for article about my app on your blog.
Fixed :-), the problem was in my utility LoadURL.exe (in the zip file) that, if the size of FLV is Unknown, don't download the Header...

New Version 0.8.3.1
http://xoomer.alice.it/sepaolo/n800vc/
Whats New:

* Fixed a download bug in 'LoadURL.exe' of some FLV files from YouTube
* Now the FLV File is downloaded in the destination DIR.
* Try to FIX some A/V Sync Problems when converting FLV files.

Paolo

P.S.: my name is Paolo :-)

Just want to mention that i like it very much that it automatically copies the URL from your clipboard! Konttori, perhaps you could make that as well in UKTube? It's a nice feature!

Hm well, i tried it with the SAW IIII video file, but no luck again. Not that i want this file so desperately but it's annoying when something doesn't work, isn't it!

Anyway, maybe i did something wrong, but i dont think so. I just replaced 3.0 with 3.1 and also the loadurl app.

Strange :-(
Now this video works for me (with the same settings).
Unk. size is normal for this (and others) video.
You can proceed with normal operations (press OK, then the button ADD and then the button Start).
After the process, in the destination directory (double click on the text box 'Dest. Dir:') you find the FLV file?:
"Saw IIII - (MTV SPOOF) In theatres Oct_ 31st_ 2007 _-P.FLV"
And/or the avi file?
"Saw IIII - (MTV SPOOF) In theatres Oct_ 31st_ 2007 _-P.AVI"
