I've gotta say, lots of people here complain about the lack of navigation options on the n900, but Mappero has served all my needs so far. In particular, it includes the ability to cache map tiles; simply download the tiles for the area you will be travelling before you leave, and you'll be able to continue using the map even if you leave your cell service area. (A very important feature here in Ohio, as there are still large areas of no service away from the major cities. )
