Oright, since you really want to push it, sure, I will waste my time and educate you. First of all, I am a mobile Device Engineer, if you believe it, good, if not, i dont care . Second, I searched around for people who have had the MICRO (i dont know why people say Mini) Usb issue, and I read a lot. Throughout the reading, I got different answers, I also read stuff about people losing their phones and getting no replacement, then I thought, well technologically, Nokia can validate if the phone has been "lost", and therefore could figure out if the person is lying or not. Under that impression, I titled my post, to see what people would say. Fortunately, the maemo community is GREAT!, but unfortunately, there are people like you. Anyways, Remember the real problem is that my Micro Usb got broken. Thanks for wasting my time again. !

could you please show me official statements that hardware modifications don't void warranty?

they just don't probably care because they change the whole circuit board and usb-connector failures are by design (=warranty).

I have had my N900 overclocked for a long time. I didnt take the phone to service, I shipped it. I still have the warranty I got on it, so the phone is repairable, since Nokia has announced that as long as the phone is still under warranty, the micro usb issue will be repaired. (so i guess no, overclocking it doesnt prevent repairing hardware that HAS NOTHING TO DO with overclocking) which was my original question.

so you didn't mention that you have overclocked the device.

It is my right to get the device fixed, as long as it is under warranty, and every piece of information I provided is correct (Everything I asked was answered properly.

So, there you have it. Dont try to outsmart people.

No, you cannot touch me, and Yes, I probably am your hero, considering the amount of phones I have written software for. And just so you know, I never lost my N900, and this was sent to me a few days ago, from nokia, about my phone:

Your Nokia N900 device, serial number 35**************, was received for repair and is currently in the process of being repaired.

Turnaround time for in-warranty repairs is approximately 7-10 business days.
