Solder up your usb port mate that is your problem, you could try holding the usb lead with a slight pressure untill the flash has completed on both EMMC and FIASCO... but am telling you now it is usb problem.

It cannot be it, flashing is successful! My phone can charge itself flash itself etc. how can it be a usb port problem if I already coonnected my device to my pc and flashed it successfully?

Just because your pc tells you it has flashed 100% dont mean the data was not corrupted by a hit and miss data line, the verify is not that good you know?.

Come on you have flashed this how many times??? successfully not because it would work by now.

if you have tried everything in the book without success then what else can it be? and for a fried disk... no way never heard of one yet on the N900.

Your next step from here is to get it back to a care centre IF they will help.

A hit and miss data line would likely result in communication failure, and gross data errors would easily be detected. Silent failures would require something far worse going wrong and I doubt such an error was induced by whatever ammyt has done.

I say put the device aside for a while and let it charge, then redo the EMMC -> Rootfs flash. After that I'm going to assume PEBCAK.

Oh let us get things straight in here. I didn't flash it 85 times now, I flashed it 82 times since I bought it, plus a three now.

Okay, I'll take off whatever is plugged in to it and leave it aside...
