FB photos display with the new overlay cr@p when you have the user agent set to present n900 as a desktop. If you reset user agent to stock, FB photos display as they used to. Not sure whether thats always been the case or if FB have rolled back the changes for smartphone browsers intentionally, but seems that you can now select your preference via hide user agent.
