Open the X-Terminal, type "dmesg". Rip open the back cover, type "dmesg" again. If the contents have changed (and it says something like "door open" or something like that), then the sensor works fine.
Remove the SD card, replace the cover, type "dmesg". Remove the cover, replace the SD card, and put the cover in place, type dmesg again.
Post results here.

may be you've got bad back cover. Try use someone else or send it back for warranty.

Yes it works ! This is solution ! I cut a small magnet paper and put it on the right place !!! 10x a lot friends
