Yeah, that's what I thought at first, too.

Certainly this does not help people to wait impatiently...

I never claimed to be helpful. There are a few here who will back up the allegation that I'm not.

So summarizing what you told us already about the update:

- Maemo 4.0 (whatever that might be (why are we so afraid of this?))
- Opera update
- Google Talk (and it's integration in the OS) replaced by Skype
- Flash update
- ??

What else did you say was in the update??

Texrat, be cautious, I warn you. Some very serious people don't like this attitude. they will file a serious complain to the seriously supreme serious court of serious justice.

Naaah, go ahead, we want more!

While I hope in an Opera update (or any other browser which is web 2.0 complaint - webkit?), I don't think we will have flash updated since the last version is not available for ARM processor. Maybe they just fine tuned the actual one.
Furthermore, I think Skype had just been added (supposing it is released together wit the OS update), it is not going to replace anything (Google talk)

Are you telling me that Nokia is moving away from Maemo and will use LCARS on the N800?
I guess that makes quite a few developers NOT happy.... Do you know if Python can be compiled for LCARS?
BTW, LCARS on ARM???

I didn't say any of that was in the update.

I actually obliquely alluded to improvements that wouldn't be immediately obvious to most users.

- Maemo 4.0: Not obvious to the USER. To the developer, yes.
- Opera update: Not obviouw to the user. Opera is Opera, no?
- Google Talk replaced by Skype: Not obvious to the user. Who uses Google Talk anyway.
- Flash update: ok, this one MIGHT be noticeable by the users. At least, that's what i hope. ;-)

=== Ok, ignore me. I'm talking out of my neck here ===
Is it there yet??
