No need to put it inside CSSU - but would be great if it land on Repos, instead of being thread-downloadable only.

Not complaining, just suggesting. By the way, nice idea (I'm not using it personally, cause i found mapping camera focus to dashboard more useful, still, taskswapper sounds quite convenient)

you don't start it, it loads (as a daemon) when Maemo loads;
once you have @ least two windows open (even two different programs) you can start switching between them with whatever keys you assigned.

It doesn't work with X-Terminal... Well, it works but not as intended.
If one terminal is open, this wont switch to another task (i.e. a browser instance).
If there's two terminals open, it will switch between these two instances but not to another instances (i.e. a browser).
If you have the browser instance open it will switch ok to terminal but it will get stuck there, switching between itself (if it has only one x-terminal instance open, or between the number of x-terminal instances open at the time).

Anyways thanks a lot. We have ALT+TAB now .

EDIT: It also interferes with ANY textbox i.e. 'Conversations' (it just wont switch at all).-

/etc/event.d/swapper

really a great app, surely a must have for a N900...
i have a few suggestions..

1) Enable/disable function on Power-button Menu..
2) Task Swapping on Volume Rocker
3) N9-Style TASK-SWITCHER(with volume rocker)
__3a) Vol-Up for switch btwn DESKTOP/APP-MENU/DASHBORD
__3b) Vol-Down for switching between Active-Tasks
__3c) disabling it from Power-button Menu will give normal vloume-control
4) ADD IT TO CSSU

i dont know if i am complicating it, but we can achieve the above function(3a & 3b) on volume rocker at th same time..
we just need to make two different modules.. one to achieve N9-Style swapping & other for task swapping you have already achieved.. one can be added on Vol-Up & Other on Vol-Down

Thanks in advance
