if you enable scrobble all songs on main screen, all songs will be scrobbled when they gets 30 seconds. I can change it to 50% if you all think its better.
I'll implemet swipe to change next song. It' a nice option.
And maybe I'll add the mini bio panel too.
I can add a profile screen with last played songs I think, but I don't think that last.fm api let me play those songs, that's why there's a collection radio I believe.
All improvements are welcome, so keep giving ideas.

About OVI, I don't think this app will pass the QA, causes last.fm says we can't use their radio api on mobile phone.
But I'll apreciate all donations if you want to support

I believe either 50% or 75% is the recommendation (user selected)

+1 for panel and scrobble history.
Correct. The labels won't allow them to stream user selected songs or abums. Only, radio style channels.

I believe you could put a version that is WI-FI only into the app store - my understanding of the API EULA is that it's moblie streaming that gives them an issue (you could always make a 'patch' available discretely).

However, I believe the API also restricts commercial use - so charging may be another issue.

Hi there,
I had some trouble installing this very nice little app.
Error on 1st attempt:
Code:

/home/user/MyDocs/Downloads # dpkg -i lastfm_0.0.4_armel.deb

aegis-installing lastfm (from '')

aegis-loader: Failed loading policy for 'lastfm::/opt/lastFM/bin/lastFM'

I rebootet and tried again, Error on 2nd attempt:

(something alike)

I had a similar issue here:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=84098

Despite the error(s) Last.fm works fine now.
After that, I installed another app (Meecast_0.5.7) via terminal (also uses aegis) without any errors.

Sorry for spoiling this topic, but I really want to know what's wrong. Please shed some light here.

In case you haven't seen it yet; we wrote an article about your last.fm app on our website: http://www.allboutn9.info/2012/05/wo...-n9-under.html

To me one of the best apps on my phone!

What users left in the comment section:

--timezone isn't ajusting when scrobbling. It seems that gmt is configured but no way to change it.
-while scrobbling it says the scrobbler is flowplayer on the last.fm profile.

and

- I would love to have the scrobble-functionality built in the last.fm app (as in the symbian version).

(although I don't understand this post well, since isn't scrobble functionality already integrated? But I don't know the Symbian version of last.fm

EDIT: Ok he meant to have it integrated in the native N9 music player app.

I've added the swipe to skip song and the small bio panel and changed the auto scrobbler at 50% instead of 30 seconds.
But I'm working on flowplayer right now (playlists support).
After that, I'll fix the timezone and register this app in last.fm to get a new api key (it uses flowplayer's one to scrobble for now).

i love this app. great work!

my only fear is that if the app is registered with last.fm i will need to purchase a subscription. is that true? i live in the US so i do not have to subscribe to listen to last.fm radio, but in the US you have to purchase a subscription to listen to last.fm radio on mobile.

if that is the case, i just won't upgrade. i am excited about the updates you mentioned, though, so i hope that is not the case.

from last.fm FAQ:

"Where do I need a subscription to listen to the radio?
If you live outside the US, UK or Germany you can try out Last.fm Radio with a free 50 tracks trial, after which a subscription is required to listen to it."

maybe i wasn't clear. i know i don't need a subscription to listen to the last.fm radio because i live in the US. HOWEVER, to listen to listen to the radio via mobile device i DO need a subscription, even though i live in the US. the FAQ on their site is very clear about this fact.

as of right now, i do not need a subscription to listen to the radio on your app. i don't know if it is because it is not "official" or what. my question is, if you register this app with last.fm officially, will that mean i will need a subscription?

You don't need anything, don't worry
We can't use last.fm radio api in mobiles, but this app retrieve the data using a linux browser agent to get all we need.

BTW, here's the last update:
