Haven't used it yet (Will have to make another swap partition), but: will this check whether the swap partition on other disk exists at all?

PS. Why is swap on mSD better?

As for checking - sure thing, read description That's why you've main swap and backup swap.

As for why swap on microSD - it saves device from I/O conflicts between swap and /opt requests. flash based devices doesn't handle simultaneous, autonomous requests very well. Not to mention, that it saves quite high amount of wear&tear from non-replaceable flash device, at expense of cheap and replaceable microSD card.

IMO, using swap on eMMC is depreciated as hell.

Started it, tho some parts don't read well.
It's mainly all the content from your first post plus some usual wiki stuff.
Hope this saves some time for you.

Thanks a lot, sixwheeledbeast! Usually, asking for someone volunteering to do a wiki page is screaming out into the wild... It will surely help.

I don't mind, part of the maemo community spirit.
You provided most of the information in the first post anyway.

Silly question: has anyone managed to get ramzswap working on Fremantle yet (I haven't kept up), and if so does ereswap offer any benefits in such a setup?
