Installed without problems a couple of minutes here in the UK. Had Ogg Support installed, but ran into no problems playing media afterwards.

That's always been a problem as far as I know - I think there may be a bug in Bugzilla for it somewhere.

Really pissed off

The unlock slider is always the Nseries theme isn't it? It is on mine but I haven't updated yet.

Yep, but it's a WONTFIX sadly:

No - the slider and wallpaper goes orange etc. if you've selected the Digital Nature theme.

(I have heard reports separately that updating to the new firmware resets your theme to NSeries, though.)

stuff ive encoded my self - all my movies were encoded using h.264 for when i had my iphone, i used handbrake on my mac,,,

settings are as follows

codec: x.264
size : 640x272
quality : constant 60% RF: 20

ive used these settings for years, they look and play fab on my ipod touch (1G) and perfectly when i had my 3GS, since the N900 is similar to the iPhone in terms of CPU & GPU i assumed they would play fine, but even the Nokia rep's N900 where I work has issues playing video, although he mostly has divx stuff

the videos play but damn theres a lot of dropped frames,

plus i dont really wanna re-encode over 200 movies, a lof of them are my kids stuff (disney) for long road trips,

if youve got any tips I would be very greatfull
