So, finally we're reaching the features of the last year's version!

To the next update I'll work on the setting object, first thing will be the auto-update, but I want to put some extras like change avatar and stuff like description, screen name, etc (or not, people don't change those a lot). I was thinking on a two panel view for it, with your profile informations on the left and the settings on the right.

I believe it's best for the users to answer, what features do you want for the settings?

And about the DM tab, do you want to see the received and sent messages? If yes, in separate tabs (like Received DMs and Sent DMs) or only one (a DM tab, with two tabs inside)?

I would really go for the second option, maybe it's not the best as you would end up with tabs inside tabs but doing this I could add a nice "send DM tab", with a list of users to send like the one of accounts on the first screen and the text box next to it.

Basically all that is needed now, is the holy grail for me of auto refresh and then a DM tab up top.

After this you can take a holiday....just for a week mind ...after than please add geo location again and twitpic support etc. (at least for viewing)

If you can get auto refresh in place i cant see any need to continue using Khweeteur for many people, its still good for what it does but everything in one timeline is not the way to go.

Cheers

The easiest one to get working is the twitpic/tweetphot view support, as the code is 80% done from the last versions (just need some cleanup) but I want to improve how to open links first, sometimes that can be really annoying :\

Edit: Almost forgot, before doing any of this, I'll be changing how TweeGo downloads images, as for now it downloads the same picture more than once :/ I need to create a pictures cache to improve the network usage.

I think a tab for Sent and a tab for Received DMs on the main UI would be acceptable.

Settings could have options for timed auto-refresh, notifications for mentions / @ replies (use IM LED/vibe pattern).

I agree that profile changing abilities might not be as important, as users don't do it that often, and it's not a real requirement in a mobile client.

Twitpic and plixi support would be great, but I hope it's not inline - maybe automatically loaded and cached upon recognition but only viewable after the specific tweet is selected.

Reply-to-all would also be a very nice addition.

1) Conversation threads similar to how Seesmic Web displays them would be awesome -

2) Reply-To-All

3) Threaded Reply (related to (1)) - Right now, Reply appears to be nothing more than including the @handle in the tweet without really "replying" and acts more like a mention which causes threads to break. A conversation going back and forth between 2 clients that support threads can be broken by a 3rd person jumping in on TweeGo ATM.

These are what I would consider important (not in order)... DM/Twitpic/etc. aren't incredibly important to me, sure they'd be nice, but if TweeGo didn't have DM/Twitpic I'd still use it!!! The 3 I mentioned are a different story however!!!

Keep up the good work!!! TweeGo looks to be THE Twitter client for N900 soon!!!

Hi Mikhail,

Nice to see there are people working to improve twitter tools. Since there are very few of them and with very different (missing)functionalities.

Here my most wanted changes/options:

#1. Ability to change font and background color (light/dark, dark/light)
#2. Ability to zoom in/out the screen a bit or use bigger/bold fonts. Of-course keeping the text from the tweet in screen, amout of tweets per screen may decrease.
#3. Increase the size of the avatar. Avatars are crucial to recognize the sender of messages, having them so small they look too much to each-other.
#4. make a key combination to jump to the first and last message. p.e. ctrl+up to jump to the first tweet and ctrl+down to jump to the last one.
#5. Put more messages in buffer (current list). There are now 40 messages available by default and you need to hit the 'More Tweets' button to go back in time.
#6. Show a preview of the picture (if there is a foto in the message) on the opened window if you tap on message.

I really hope this options are possible to implement so we can enjoy the tool on a better way.
Best of luck and keep up the good work!

It could be possible to add an "open" button next to every link? I cant open links with the first time, Im trying second and third time. I mentioned that again in the past and some users agreed. Also handling of errors would be nice, eg when there is no internet connection and I m trying to tweet something tweego keeps showing processing icon and the only solution is to exit.

"via TweeGo" or "via TweeGo for N900" would be better than TweeGo mobile

It seems the same big affecting TwimGo happens with TweeGo now...

1). Open TweeGo with an active data connection.
2). Change data connection service type. 2/3G<->WiFi.
3). Connection dialogbox will pop up and continue to do so, numerous times.

Anybody else notice this?

*Changing screen name, avatar or description is done so few that it can be done on a computer =)
*About the DM Tab, i think both in the same tab is best. I dont think people DM that much either.
*Picture cache is a good idea!

I also got 2 bugs to report:

One you already mentioned yourself: The link clicking doesn't work that well.

The other one is that most symbols don't show up.
For example, if i tweet :
"Hello, I <3 Tweego"

It shows up in tweego like this:
"Hello, I"
(So everything after the heart is also gone)

Further i wanted to say you guys did a really nice job already, Tweego Rocks!
Keep up the good work!

Man, I have never saw this bug! I just tweet a message here and it look like the twitter api is thinking that what is between "<" and ">" is a HTML tag. I try to change them to &lt and &gt to see if it works.

Edit: it didn't work :\
