@frals. I have just installed fMMS 1.1.8 and I've seen some mistaken strings in the spanish (es) translation and therefore I've updated them in Transifex. Please, be sure to include them in the following package (please, do not use the es_ES translation).

Cheers!!!

Please, remove the (es_ES) translation. I was mistaken when I uploaded it (thought es_ES was the code for Spanish from Spain and it is not, it is es only) and now one of the strings has been incorrectly put in the 1.1.8 package: "Polite" is translated as "error", and it should be "Cortés", as it is correctly defined in (es) translation. I have updated all the string on (es_ES) to match the ones in (es) just to be sure that this error does not happen again.

New edit: Just updated a string to better identify the Havoc mode.

Sorry I can't be more exact on this issue I am trying to track it down before submitting a bug report.

Seems that either from 1.7 to 1.8 the MMS APN which should be used for just fMMS does well for better words nothing.

Seems now however fMMS modified my default APN ( AT&T Internet ) for MMS only ( No internet, anything ). I am also unable to modify the APNs to get them back to what they should be.

May end up reflashing unless someone has something I can try to verify or correct the issue.

Thanks,

**EDIT

Figured it out kind of. Apparently Havoc settings got borked on my N900 to the point where it was removing my AT&T default APN rather that the MMS APN. Removed fMMS and removed the MMS APN. Everything appears back to normal.

Will try fMMS again once more of the bugs are worked out, still unreliable at this point. Not saying it's bad, it's a great application just not stable from my experience.

@frals:
I've seen that you promoted fMMS 1.1.8 to extras-testing. The spanish translation error (now fixed) is not included in this version and I'd like to know if I can manually modify any file (when fMMS is already installed in the N900) in order to change the localization strings. I've found in the folder /home/opt/fmms/share/locale the .py files indicated in the translation files (like fmms_config_dialog.py) but I cannot find any file with the localization strings of every language. Are the strings in text mode inside any file so they can be edited after installation? (only as a temporary patch in my phone)

Thanks.

Do i have to go the connection and choose MMS then send the MMS??? or it is occurring automatically when sending the MMS, cos when every time i send MMS, it says: Error 101. But when go to connection and activate MMS, it is sent.

is there a way to sent the MMS without ever time activating the MMS connection?

Try Havoc mode.

@frals,
I've found a trick to do what I wanted three posts ago. It seems that the language code "es" is used by fMMS if "es_ES" does not exist (at least when the N900 is configured in Spanish Spain codes), and therefore the "es_ES" translation (which I told you it was a bad one) has priority over the other one ("es").
That's why I have just copied the file "/home/opt/fmms/share/locale/es/LC_MESSAGES/fmms.mo" to "/home/opt/fmms/share/locale/es_ES/LC_MESSAGES/fmms.mo" and now the badly translated string (Polite<->error) in "es_ES" code is right and fMMS is using it!!

That is even more important because, contrary to what I said you in a post before to delete "es_ES" language from Transifex, now you shouldn't. You should keep both languages and if someone from Mexico or Argentina wants a more precise translation, they have to add "es_MX" or "es_AR" to the Transifex project, otherwise the N900 will take "es" code for the translation (which at the moment is Spanish from Spain).

In summary, you have to do nothing but include the already corrected translations for "es" and "es_ES" in a future release of fMMS.

Bye!

I've notified to the Transifex people the error between "es" and "es_ES" language codes and they have fixed it. They have added "es_ES" as an alias of "es" (Spanish from Spain or Castilian). I hope this will work when frals compile a future release of fMMS for all spanish variants of N900 (Spanish is the official language of 21 countries).

Cheers!
