a) this is the maemo.org wiki, not a nokia announcement
b) it refers to voip video calls; i've learned in the maemo community that a lot of people don't even known that "normal", phone to phone video calls even exist... (seems to depend on where you live).
that's why, whenever you read something about "video calls", you have to try and find out which kind of video calls it refers to. the person who created/edited the wiki page obviously thougth VoIP video calls could safely be called "video calls" because there's nothing else it could be mistaken for.

How does that constitute any kind of commitment to a particular type of video calling?
that could just as easily be taken to mean "we will announce if you will get it or not later"

Im not a nokia fanboy, i just think people should be realistic about what they expect, and should focus on the many possitives rather than what they perceive to be the few negatives on a new platform.

Early adopters should allways be aware that thats the price of being the first to have a new device/platform, and constructive feedback rather than just whining is what will make changes, ive not yet come accross what i believe to be a shortcoming of the n900 (and there are a few) that the comunity has not been able or will be able to solve.
