I havent made a call from a N9, but the sms function was great. The keyboard was on par or better than my gf's ihpone 4 (white if it matters to anybody). However I didn't notice if you easily can write numbers as in Android or if you have to push a button to see numbers as in symbian (PR1.2) which is I think is annoying.
Browsing is fast and intuitive.
About UI looking good on videos, N9 is very smooth and easily swipes and the function of pausing (in some instances) apps seems to be great and makes the N9 capeable of having alot(!!) apps running in the memory without it being less smooth.
The classic swipe shown in vids with a video running and then swiping slowly away from the vid is 100% smooth and fluent even though you have many apps, pics or whatever runing in the background - the same applies with games you are aotu-pausing when swipeing.
In the test I did I had at least 10+ apps in the background which probably will match (and is probs more than) my average daily use.
The screen quality is also very important and even If you are a Samsung G 2 user the N9 may be on par - and I saw it in sunshine.
Camera (which is important for me) is very fast and autofocus seems to be great - however I havent seen the pics on print or on a pc monitor, but from the N9 camera pics seen around the net it will probably fullfill my needs.

What you really mean to say is YOU don't give it a chance and if so why are you even on this thread? in fact with your posts why are you even on this community ?????.

Why not? It has no ecosystem. I hope it will be a fun device, and in many ways is what an iphone should have been. but given the software engineering fiascos at NOKIA, i will be VERY surprised that this device will be a complete package

Listen matey if you are even trying to compare an iphone with the N9 then your barking up the wrong tree, Nokia devices are nothing like iphone and if they were i would never have bought any.
Please STOP comparing things that are black and white and after all... this IS indeed a Nokia related community and you will only get shouted down for your posts in general.
If you wanna talk iphone then please go on the iphone forums.
