One would have to ask that from the investors. It surely doesn't build confidence. It may have something to do with manufacturer also, if they refuse to make another batch for Jolla, there's not much they can do - mind you that it's only speculation that the investors wanted it this way, only certain thing we know about it is that Jolla wanted to continue launching Jolla branded devices and they were negotiating about it, which leads to conclusion that the investors are not so happy with that idea. However, it doesn't necessarily mean they refused to fund delivering preorders and IGG backers, but it's possible they did. So, only thing we can do at this point (in addition of speculation and ranting) is to wait.

A major problem here is that we aren't as big as we think we are. We're loud, we post a lot on the internet, and we think a lot of ourselves because our horse is soo high. Does anyone know how many N900s were sold? I heard it was about 250k. I've yet to see an app on the Jolla store get past '25,000+' installs to the next level.

Jolla have no future catering only to us - they need a decent userbase. Originally I think they hoped to include us in some wider market, but now they need to chase after those licensing deals that will get Sailfish on lots of phones, even if they're selling low-end devices that we won't want. Their investors need to see phones shifted.

We Are excactly as big as we think we Are...

True, we are not that big. But neither is Jolla and if they want to take the next big step. They need us to help them so they need us more then we need them even. And for Every backer they screw they have to work twice as hard to get another One.

A decent userbase goes via existing customers, That's us, so we Are jolla more than jolla themself.

It does look like Jolla phone is a few 10s of thousands so we are indeed tiny. There still could be some distrust from new people watching how Jolla handles things like the tablet, they do use google in India.

I suppose they may not care as they are getting an Intex immediately and Jolla is still doing OS updates even now. We do not have the final specs on the Intex yet, yes the early specs at Shanghai were no better than the Jolla we have now. If the final specs have even 2GB of RAM that would be a huge help. I am looking at upgrading to a Nexus 5.

Now I think I am starting to understand why Marc Dillion left Jolla, but we will probably never know the reasons.

You are missing very important aspect: you do not get userbase in one day. You grow it, slowly and starting with few. If you please those few and they are satisfied, others would see it and come in as well as those few will make positive advertising for you.
But if do not take in an account those few you only have, it will not help to gain more users but only lose those you already have!
