Sorry, yes, it's really late. Basically it works, but needs some Diablo-specific tweaks before releasing for Maemo4. But it's next on my schedule.

When I let them play, it will play through the first 7 or 8, then go back to the beginning of the list. I was thinking it may be something in one of the files in that directory that was causing that behavior, but the directory is podcasts, which means they get cycled out fairly regularly (most within a week, but some stay around longer).

Have you seen this kind of behavior and is there a fix for it?
Are the podcasts from nr. 8 on playable by themselves?
Right now I have no idea what could cause this behavior.

I think so. Version 2010.05.08 has the hooks that headphoned's author requested. So it ought to work with headphoned. If not there may be a bug somewhere in MediaBox or headphoned.

Maybe you're lacking media codecs for playing FLV or MP4 files. At least the FLV container is not supported by Maemo out of the box.
Some videos on YouTube are available in more than one format so that you can choose.

Excellent! Thanks. I won't ask about a release date, because I come from the Debian culture, where "when it's ready." is an acceptable answer.

They are. The problem is that the only way to get to them is to manually scroll to them, which is a challenge when in traffic.

Rendering function doesn't work with Bravia TV 40V5500. is there any possibly to render the media for the TV? It does search the TV but when it is selected nothing happens.

It would be helpful if somebody with such a TV could provide a pcap-dump (e.g. using wireshark, snoop or tcpdump, might be necessary to use a ethernet hub or use the capturing computer as gateway) of the HTTP traffic between MediaBox and the TV.

Edit: from what I've found on the web, the Bravia TV is very limited in what media formats it supports. So not everything the N900 throws at it will be playable.

Running MediaBox from X-Terminal with option -vvv shows the UPnP SOAP requests and responses. This could be helpful with debugging, too.

I just tried with Microsoft Windows Media Connect UPnP server on XP Home and it works without problems.

As far as I can tell, it doesn't work, by the way

Indeed, Headphone Daemon 1.8 does not emit D-Bus signals for MediaBox as
Code:
dbus-monitor --session
shows.
