Flashed mine and I bricked it :P

Goes to the Nokia logo and then turns off

Can anyone send me the 1Ghz file? And also the default one ^^

EDIT:
This is what I did:
Code:
giannoug@giannoug-ubuntu:~$ sudo flasher-3.5 -k zImage-800mhz -f -R
[sudo] password for giannoug:
flasher v2.5.2 (Oct 21 2009)

USB device found found at bus 001, device address 002.
Found device RX-51, hardware revision 2101
NOLO version 1.4.14
Version of 'sw-release': RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8_PR_MR0
Sending kernel image (60 kB)...
100% (60 of 60 kB, avg. 5454 kB/s)
Flashing kernel... done.
Tried again and now it says:
Code:
...
Version of 'sw-release': <no version>
...
So it seems I need a full reflash. Thank God I have backups!

This is amazing. I just wonder how safe this is. I mean, it would be amazing if you could do this to play PS1 games for example, and then revert to 600 mhz later.

that would be sweet, a modified kernel that also comes with an app to allow software overclock.

incase some missed it, i made video

Running at 800. Two browser crashes and a Xorg crash (which caused a sw_rst reboot) during one evening. Now it could be just a coincidence (these things happen sometimes) but I have a slight suspicion the overclocking isn't exactly having a positive impact on the stability department...

@Ronaldo

Just saw your vid. It's odd that SOTN runs this choppy on 900MHZ and a graphics accelerator. I expected better. But the emulator is still being tweaked, right?

Which reminds me of a question:

Which is better, games wise: 600 Mhz with graphics accelerator (N900) or Snapdragon (HTC Hd2)?

i know every chipset will be able to take different levels of overclocking perhaps your unlucky mate and yours will only go to around 720mhz but i doubt it and its more then likely a app or a coincedence :-)

ive been running at 900mhz all day , now i know this may have an effect on the lifespan of cmponents etc but it has been running fine and no reboots or crashes and ive been heavily loading the cpu to see how the handset copes as well

maybe as you say its a coincedence or a app or something else :-)

the emulator is a software emulator there are not drivers for gpu, but thats a different thread.

Mario Kart on DrNokSnes wasn't smooth before although playable.
But now at 900Mhz, it's even smoother than on the SNES itself. =P

Bounce Evolution game is also noticeably smoother now than before.
