? I dont understand you dont have to run a programe every time. after you installed sixaxis-support and setup the controller all you have to do is turn on bluetooth and press the ps botton and it connects. every thing runs in the background.

This is not normal.
My pad does not "forget" the master address after unplugging USB.

Could you tell me if it still shows "Current Bluetooth master:" with your N900's BT address, or only 00:00:00:00:00:00 when you plug it in the computer and run sixpair ?
I wouldn't like to return it without being 100% sure it's defective

It shows the address I've paired it to, whether it is my PS3, PC or N900.

Thanks, that's the answer I was looking for.
I'll give a desperate try at the windows solution, and contact the eBay seller when I see that it still won't work.

I'm sending back the controller, GlovePie doesn't make it work either.
I hope the replacement works, I'm eager to play games with real controls.

It was sold as OEM controller so maybe it was a real one ?
It is a good copy, if it's not the real deal.

[EDIT] Ok, looked at their feedback, other buyers received them defective, and one says they're counterfeit. Too bad this feedback wasn't there yet when I ordered mine.

Latest available version says "joydev packets cannot be found". "Current version 1.2-1 - Available version 1.2-1". It works fine for me, I just wanted to report this issue here.
